Mood board.
I have done this mood board to give myself reference images to help me create my assets within my isometric rooms. every item in this mood board can be adapted to create the assets for my isometric rooms. During the isometric room design,
after designing room 1: I used the lockers and window as a reference image to create the window and lockers within my military barracks. I somewhat used the stasis pods as a reference image to help me design my own version of it to create a stasis bed.

Describe: This picture is of Havok showing off his power to Charles Xavier (Prof. X) using the training room before he gets the specialised suit.
Explain: The fire running along the floor has given me the idea that I could have lights running along the floor, walls and ceilings.
Breakdown: The fire running along the floor can be reinterpreted to different styles, for example: Sci-fi neon lights.
Synthesise: I intend to add either light strips or a line of small light sources in a sequenced line for my isometric room design to mimic this picture.

Describe: this is the scene in X-MEN: The last stand where Logan, Colossus, Storm and the students had just finished their training simulation.
Explain: The holographic break down of the scene in the movie is something I would like to adapt and mix with the star trek picture to the top right.
I would also like to use and adapt the type of colour scheme the holographs use.
Breakdown: Holograph can be adapted to many thins such as light computers locks and many other things.
synthesise: I want to use the colour scheme to adapt it with the Star Trek picture and mix them into a holographic PC and hand locks.
I would also like to use the colour scheme to make lights on multiple surfaces.

Describe: This is the Star Trek 25th anniversary game

Explain: The computers running along the walls and the screens could be adapted to a brighter sci-fi looking computer system.

Breakdown: I would take the computer screens and adapt them into a hollow graphic looking screen.
the various computers that outline the command centre i could adapt to make a computer keyboard or other various items such as hand print locks.
synthesise: I intend to adapt the screens to make holographic monitors and use the keyboards as a holographic key board, a wardrobe hand print lock as such.

Discover: There's nothing really original. Alien was a B-movie. Five directors passed on it before me. Because I was into Heavy Metal, I read it, and thought, "Wow, I want to do this." I was on a plane to Hollywood in 22 hours. It was a B-movie and was elevated to an A+plus movie by sheer good taste.
Describe: Ridley Scott describing Alien (1979) and how it went from a B movie to an A+ movie.
Explain: It shows that even if some people may think something is a garbage piece of work in this case a movie but with good taste and hard work it can be elevated into something amazing.
Breakdown: hard work and determination can make great things and never give up even if people think the idea is trash.
Synthesise: It inspires me to work hard because if one of the most famous sci-fi movies of all time was classed as a B movie and just with hard work and determination it was elevated to the masterpiece it is today that that shows me what I need to do to do the same within my work.

Describe: The med-bay from 2012's Prometheus movie.

Explain: In this picture it shows the med bay which looks like futuristic bed.

Breakdown: I can adapt the med bay and change it to look like a sci-fi bed. I can add a mattress some covers and pillows.

Synthesise: I intend to make a Futuristic bed using this image as a reference but changing a lot of aspects to personalise it.

Discover: I try to push ideas away, and the ones that will not leave me alone are the ones that ultimately end up happening.
Describe: J.J. Abrams describing his thought process for ideas.
Explain: J.J. Abrams ideology for how he puts his ideas into movies is inspirational to how ideas that wont leave you alone usually tend to work out better for his movies/TV shows.
Breakdown: Ideas that stick with you are going to be important to what you're working on in any industry.
the ideas that you think are great that you forget about probably wouldn't have worked out in the end.
Synthesise: I intend to take this quote and use it for projects that may take a long time and see what ideas stick with me and what leaves.

I have made a couple of mood boards giving me ideas on how a lot of aliens can look with these images I feel with the range of aliens I have found I will be able to create the requirement of the brief.
